Two phones, one scan, no mistyping even with complicated names. - **Business card:**The code on the back saves you from typing in the URL. Make sure it is large enough and has sufficient contrast, otherwise scanning may fail in restaurant lighting. - **Presentation slide:**A closing slide with a code and your full name. The result is a static code that links directly to your profile. A data protection note: Many providers advertise with_dynamic_QR codes. They do not point to your profile URL, but to a redirect from the provider, which can track when and how often they are scanned. A**static**A code pointing to your profile URL is the more privacy-friendly option: it contains the address itself, works without an intermediary, and will not stop working if the service is shut down or becomes paid. ## Before: Set a concise profile URL If a code is generated from your profile URL, it makes sense to keep that URL tidy. LinkedIn lets you set a personal public profile URL.
