Connection request limit and withdrawing requests
In this article, we explain the discrepancy between the different figures for connection requests (40 per working day) and withdrawing requests (25 per day).
In this scenario, there is a surplus of 15 people whose requests are not withdrawn. In theory, they would then need to accept my request. That would mean an acceptance rate of 37%.
Misconception: 40 connection requests per working day, but 25 withdrawals per day.
An important factor is your connection acceptance rate, which should ideally be above 20%. In a scenario where you withdraw requests from 25 people seven days a week and send connection requests to 40 people per day on the five working days, the ratio is 175 to 200. This means that 25 connection requests would not be withdrawn. However, since you should aim for an acceptance rate of at least 20%, 40 contacts would accept out of the 200 requests sent. This in turn means that you could actually only withdraw 160 requests.
A 20% acceptance rate would be the worst-case scenario and should definitely be achieved.

Weekend strategy
At the weekend, it makes sense not to send any new connection requests, but to withdraw requests that have already been sent. This allows you to balance sent and withdrawn requests across the entire week.
