Export all LinkedIn connections with their information

Author: CompLeadly TeamLast updated on 1 min read

Here is how to export your LinkedIn connections: in CompLeadly, start the “Export network” feature. It writes your 1st-degree connections to a spreadsheet, starting with your newest connection. From the Basic plan, CompLeadly can also visit each profile and add email, phone, website and job title.

Step by step

  1. Open the “Export network” feature.
  2. Under “Export number of contact”, enter how many contacts one run should export. Without a paid plan you can export up to 50 contacts per day; from the Basic plan the number is unlimited.
  3. Leave “Stop export at this contact” empty on your first run. After that it holds your newest contact, and every further run only exports newer contacts. For a complete new export, clear the field.
  4. Turn on “Export detailed profile data” (Basic and up) if you need email, phone or website. The export then takes longer, several days for large networks.
  5. Choose the format: Excel, CSV, JSON, XML or Google Sheets. Excel is the default.
  6. Start the feature. Where the file ends up is explained here: Where to find my export files?

Tip: With “Export oldest contacts first” (Basic and up) the export starts with your oldest connections. That suits you if you want to append new runs to an existing spreadsheet.

Very large networks

There is no fixed upper limit. From 1,500 contacts, CompLeadly shows a note that not all contacts may be exported, because LinkedIn needs a lot of system resources for this. In that case, use the profile export via Sales Navigator and split your connections into smaller audiences, for example by region: Export all contacts (more than 2500) with information

Email addresses only

Not every member shows their email address. Usually you only see it once you are connected. How to get your contacts' emails as a spreadsheet: Export the email addresses of your LinkedIn contacts
