I received a notification from LinkedIn. What now?

Pay attention to the following points to prevent the notification from appearing again

  • Do not use LinkedIn on multiple computers or on your phone. While CompLeadly is running, you should not be active on LinkedIn otherwise!
  • Do not use multiple LinkedIn profiles on one computer!
  • Warm up your profile and optimise it.
  • Do not stay continuously active with CompLeadly 24 hours a day (e.g. due to exports). Especially at night, LinkedIn may classify this as unusual activity.
  • If you have a LinkedIn Free membership and do more than just browse LinkedIn and add a few colleagues, LinkedIn does not like that!
  • Try to access LinkedIn from an IP address in only one location. If LinkedIn sees a login in Munich today and then one in Hamburg, every day, you will receive a notification from LinkedIn. This can happen if, for example, you use an external server.
    • Even a login from abroad can seem unusual to LinkedIn.
  • Start slowly with the number of visits, messages, requests, etc. Increasing too quickly leads to unusual behaviour.
    • Start again with 150 and increase daily: 187, 232, ... up to 500 visits & follows
    • Connections & InMails: 10, 16, ... up to 40

A psychology lesson on the notification – what is behind it?
