The key differences between LinkedIn InMails and Sales Navigator InMails
LinkedIn InMails and Sales Navigator InMails differ in their subject line, signature and visibility.
1. Subject line:
- LinkedIn: Optional
- Sales Navigator: Required
2. Signature:
- LinkedIn: No automatic signature, but you can add one yourself if you want.
- Sales Navigator: An automatic signature is added by LinkedIn, but you can customise it.Here's how.
3. Message delivery:
- LinkedIn: InMails appear in the recipient's main LinkedIn inbox, regardless of whether they have Sales Navigator or not.
- Sales Navigator: InMails only appear in the recipient's Sales Navigator, which means the recipient has to actively switch to Sales Navigator to see the message.
4. Follow-up options:
- LinkedIn: You cannot send another InMail to the same contact until they have replied to or accepted your InMail.
- Sales Navigator: You can send unlimited InMails to the same contact.
For these reasons, it is generally recommended to send InMails through LinkedIn, as they are more visible and reach a wider audience. However, if you want to follow up, you can do so through Sales Navigator.
