Select a word or a line and click one of the seven styles: Bold, Italic, Bold italic, Monospace, Script, Fraktur or Circled. With nothing selected, the style applies to the whole post.
Select several lines and choose •, →, ✓ or 1. The formatter puts the marker in front of every line and numbers them in order for 1. Empty lines in the selection are dropped. The divider inserts a horizontal line between two sections.
The preview shows your post the way it appears in the feed. The “see more” cut is an approximation, because LinkedIn does not publish the exact length. It is good enough for your opening: you can see whether your key sentence sits before the cut.
“Copy text” puts the post on your clipboard. Paste it into the LinkedIn post field, on desktop just as in the app.
Select a styled passage and click “Remove styling” to turn the special characters back into normal letters. “Clear” empties the field for your next post.
LinkedIn posts have no text formatting. “Bold” and “italic” are Unicode special characters that only look that way. LinkedIn offers real formatting with a toolbar only in the editor for articles and newsletters.
To search, a bold word is made of different characters than the plain word. Keep the terms you want to be found for in normal text.
Screen readers read these characters as individual symbols instead of letters, often badly or not at all. Use them sparingly, for a keyword or a subheading, never for whole paragraphs.
The formatter converts the letters A–Z and a–z. Accented letters such as é, ü or ñ do not exist in these styles and stay normal. Only Bold, Monospace and Circled convert digits.
Whether a character shows up depends on the font on the reader's device. Older devices sometimes show rare characters as boxes, so check Fraktur, Script and Circled on your phone before posting.
The formatter processes your text only locally on your device. Nothing is sent to a server or stored, which is why there is no consent to click here.
