Guide to contacting prospects in Sales Navigator
This guide shows you how to select prospects in Sales Navigator, divide them into manageable target audiences, and contact them systematically through workflows so you can send messages to relevant prospects in a predictable and controlled way.
1. Selecting prospects 0:01
- Open Sales Navigator.
- Select the 1st-degree connection filter (direct connections).
- Check the number of results in the top right corner.
2. Filtering the target audience 0:25
- If you have fewer than 2,500 results, you can use the target audience directly.
- If you have more than 2,500 results, you need to apply filters and create several target audiences with a maximum of 2,500 results each.
I’ll explain how in the following steps:
3. Filtering by region 1:08
- Idea: Select a specific region or city to reduce the number of results.
- Example: In this example, I select the city of Cologne to get 450 results.
4. Saving the target audience 1:29
- Save the filtered target audience in Sales Navigator.
- Go to "Target audience" in the left-hand menu and add a new target audience (e.g. "Test").
- Repeat this step until all target audiences with a maximum of 2,500 results have been saved.
5. Creating a workflow 2:02
- Create a new workflow (e.g. "Test").
- Select the function for contacting people.
6. Creating a campaign message 2:18
- Add a campaign message and edit it.
- Select the target audience you created earlier.
7. Setting up message sending 2:27
- Set the maximum number of messages to be sent per day (e.g. 100).
- Enter your message text and choose whether to write in Sales Navigator or LinkedIn.
8. Adding more target audiences 3:14
- Repeat the process for other cities (e.g. Düsseldorf).
- Save each new target audience and adjust the workflow accordingly.
9. Completing the process 3:53
- Duplicate the function for each target audience until all prospects can be contacted.
- If you have questions, join a live Q&A call or contact support.
