Set up a landline number on your router
1. Enter your landline number 0:00
- LinkedIn recommends entering a landline number instead of a mobile number.
- Self-employed people working from home usually also have a router with a landline number.
2. Access your FRITZ!Box 0:14
- Go to the user interface of your FRITZ!Box.
- Select the "Call Handling" menu item.
3. Set up call forwarding 0:24
- Click on "Call Forwarding".
- Add a new call forwarding rule.
4. Select a phone number 0:40
- Select the landline number you want to use.
- Enter the destination number to which calls should be forwarded.
5. Activate call forwarding 1:07
- Click "Apply" to activate call forwarding.
- You can activate or deactivate call forwarding at any time.
6. Set up an answering machine (optional) 1:21
- Set up an answering machine to receive messages from callers.
- You can then call back once you have received a message.
7. Set up WhatsApp Business with a landline number 1:32
- Install the WhatsApp Business app.
- Enter your landline number to use it.
- Confirm the number via a call forwarded to your mobile phone.
