Local, cloud or extension?
CompLeadly is not a shared cloud service and not a pure browser extension. This page shows where the automation runs, which IP address LinkedIn sees and which parts you actually need.
CompLeadly is a desktop app
You install CompLeadly on Windows, macOS or Linux. The automation runs on your computer, over your own internet connection. If it should run around the clock, the same app can optionally work on a cloud computer of your own. The Chrome extension is an additional tool right inside LinkedIn – it does not run campaigns and is not required.
One app, two optional add-ons
The desktop app is the core. You only add the cloud computer and the extension if you need them.

Chrome extension
It does not run campaigns or sequences – it helps you right inside LinkedIn, e.g. to add contacts to a target audience. You add contacts there with a click; the transfer then runs in the background. You do not need it to use CompLeadly.

How LinkedIn tools differ in principle
LinkedIn automation tools can be grouped by how they are built. What matters is where the automation runs – that decides which address LinkedIn sees.
A provider's cloud service
The automation runs on the provider's servers, not on your side. LinkedIn sees an address from the provider's infrastructure. Depending on the provider, many accounts run over the same addresses, and the location does not always match yours. Your computer can be off.
Pure browser extensions
The automation runs as an extension in your browser, over your own connection. Your browser has to stay open for it.
Desktop apps
The automation runs as a separate program on your computer, over your own connection. CompLeadly belongs here – complemented by the optional cloud computer and the extension as a tool in the browser.

No, the automation runs in the desktop app; the extension is an optional tool right inside LinkedIn. With it you can, for example, save contacts from LinkedIn into a target audience. You do not need it for the automation.
Does my computer have to be running?
Yes, if CompLeadly works on your computer: it has to be switched on, connected to the internet and not asleep. Scheduled runs start as soon as the desktop app is running again. If CompLeadly should work around the clock, even while your computer is off, add the optional cloud computer.
What is the CompLeadly cloud computer?
A server of your own, just for you, on which the CompLeadly app runs around the clock – not a shared service. For LinkedIn you use a fixed IP via Surfshark at a location that suits you; you bring your own Surfshark licence. The cloud computer costs €29.99 per month on top of your subscription, plus VAT.
