No mailbox verification
The checker never connects to the mail server (no SMTP handshake). Whether a specific mailbox exists stays "not checkable".
The address is never stored
The entered address is used only for the check and never stored or logged anywhere.
MX lookup has a timeout
The mail-server check has a 3-second timeout – for a slow or unreachable server, the result shows "check failed".
