How can you first visit, then follow, then connect with a set delay?
Many CompLeadly users would like to first visit people, follow them after 3 days, and then connect with them after another 3 days. Here is how it works:
- First, create a new sequence and add the three functions as shown in the screenshot:
- Then edit the functions by adding the target audience to be processed.
You can leave all other settings as they are, except for the following: - Since we only want to visit people first, remove the tick from this box.
- The final setting is also important, as it allows us to automatically save the people we visited in a new target audience that CompLeadly creates itself and can use in the next step. Then click "Save".
- IMPORTANT: This target audience can only be created once the function has run.
- For the second "Visit and Follow" function, select the target audience created by the first "Visit and Follow" function.
- In this function, select the number of days to wait before following.
For this example, we will use 3 days. - This means that, since the people we visited are the target audience, CompLeadly waits 3 days before visiting them again and following them.
- To connect with the people we followed after X days in the final step, we need to tell CompLeadly in "Visit and Follow 2" to create another target audience containing the people who were followed.
- To do this, select "Operation".
- "Operation" means that the function was completed successfully, so everyone in the new target audience is someone we follow and can connect with in the final step.
- Now select the second custom target audience in the "Connect" function.
- You can see in the sequence that Connect is currently inactive, as we will only activate it after 3 days.
After that, we do not need to deactivate it again, because everyone we visit again will first go through the 3-day cycle that comes before it.
