Short answer: If CompLeadly does not start any function, it is almost always one of these causes: the desktop app is not running, the computer is off, asleep or offline, the LinkedIn login has expired or needs a confirmation, the function has no target group, or its daily limit is reached. CompLeadly shows its own message for each of these causes – find it below and follow the solution.
Causes and solutions
Desktop app not connected
Scheduled runs only start once the desktop app is running again. Start CompLeadly on your computer. If the software is not installed yet, follow the section “Installation and operation” below.
Computer off, asleep or no internet connection
CompLeadly works directly on your device. If the computer is switched off, asleep or offline, no function can run. Keep the computer switched on and connected to the internet while you use CompLeadly.
LinkedIn session lost or LinkedIn login failed
Your LinkedIn session has expired, or CompLeadly could not log in to LinkedIn. Check your login data under Settings → LinkedIn and log in again via “Solve login problems”. The LOGIN_ERROR is explained in LOGIN_ERROR.
LinkedIn keeps asking for a new code
End old LinkedIn sessions and log in again via “Solve login problems” – step by step in LinkedIn code appears frequently.
Captcha check required or firewall login
LinkedIn requires a manual confirmation. Complete it in the browser that “Solve login problems” opens: Captcha solve or Firewall issue – login required.
LinkedIn account restricted
LinkedIn has temporarily restricted your account. CompLeadly then makes no further login attempts for a cooling-off period. Check your account directly on LinkedIn or contact our support.
Target group missing
No target group has been set for the function yet. Configure a target group so that the function can start.
Daily limit of the function reached
The function has reached its daily limit. It continues automatically the next day. If you want more per day, increase the limit in the function’s settings.
Function with AI text is skipped
AI messages require the Premium Plus package. Upgrade your package or switch the function to “Manual text” – details in AI messages.
Installation and operation
To use CompLeadly, first download the software to your computer.
Select your operating system (macOS, Windows, or Linux) on the ⤴Download page and click “Download”.

After downloading, install the application and log in with your credentials. CompLeadly runs on one computer at a time; the automation starts wherever the desktop app is running. If you want to switch computers, set up CompLeadly there again and re-enter your LinkedIn credentials.
Your computer must be turned on for CompLeadly to perform its tasks on LinkedIn. The software operates directly on your device and therefore requires an active session to execute functions such as sending messages or connecting with contacts. If the computer is turned off or in sleep mode, CompLeadly cannot operate. Make sure your computer is powered on and connected to the internet while using CompLeadly.
