Tutorial: How does the "Replies" table work?
CompLeadly collects the latest message from chats in the "Replies" table.
What is checked?
The opener and follow-up function checks whether a message can be sent.
- The opener is only sent if there are not two messages in the chat or if the contact has not replied.
- Follow-ups are sent if the latest message is the opener or follow-up message.
If this condition is not met, the latest chat message is added to the "Replies" table. Even if the latest message was written by you.
An example:
In this case, the profile name and "Latest message from ..." are the same. Here, the contact has replied. (The name has been redacted here).
In the function column, we can see that the opener processed it, meaning it first checked whether it met the condition mentioned above.
This is not the case here, as we received a reply from the contact.
So no opener message is sent, and follow-ups are not sent either.
If the conditions were met, the opener message would be sent.
Continue sending messages to the contact
People who reply to an opener or follow-up are stopped from receiving further messages.
